In the future, the Young Investigator Workshops held in previous years will be replaced by an Autumn School. In this two-day event format, various topics of zoonoses research will be addressed in an interactive format. Participation is free of charge and open to all young scientists* of the Zoonoses Platform.

The next Autumn School will take place online on September 21 and 22, 2021.

Autumn School 2021

The Autumn School 2021 of the German Research Platform for Zoonoses will take place online from 21.09.2021 - 22.09.2021 and is dedicated to the topic "Science in times of crisis - with interdisciplinarity against pandemics". More information about the event can be found here.

Young Scientists Workshops

The Young Scientists Workshop, held annually in previous years prior to the National Symposium on Zoonoses Research, offered young scientists in national zoonoses research the opportunity to develop their professional skills with the help of various training sessions. The young scientists' workshops included training sessions on "Scientific Writing", which taught the creation, outline and structure of a scientific concept and the use of adequate wording. The training "Presenting (in) Science - How to own the stage on international conferences" addressed the correct presentation of one's own research results.

(read here the report of the workshop) In light of the increasing interdisciplinary collaboration in zoonoses research, the training "Introduction to interdisciplinary communication, presentation and collaboration" was offered for the first time in 2018.
