Internal Advisory Board

The internal advisory board is the main scientific steering committee of the National Research Platform for Zoonoses. The committee takes decisions in strategic and scientific issues, like the appraisal of projects. Moreover, it represents the platform in public.

The internal advisory board meets four to five times per year. The internal advisory board consists of 15 members eligible to vote: 12 scientists are elected for the period of one year by the members of the National Research Platform for Zoonoses at the general assembly during the annual National Symposium of Zoonoses Research. Furthermore, the directors of the three offices are members of the internal advisory board.

In addition, one non-voting representative of each of the four following ministries takes part in the meetings of the internal advisory board: Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF); Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV); Federal Ministry of Health (BMG); and Project Management Agency of DLR.
