German Research Platform for Zoonoses

The German Research Platform for Zoonoses is an information and service network, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), for all working groups operating in Germany in the field of zoonoses research.

The objective of the platform, which now has over 600 members, is to increase the exchange of experiences at national and international levels and thus intensify research activities in the field of zoonoses research, promoting broad horizontal cross-linking of human and veterinary medicine.

The English-language website provides an insight into the work of the German Research Platform for Zoonoses and is aimed at two different target groups.

1) English-speaking scientists who receive public funding and conduct research in the field of zoonoses in Germany so they are eligible to become full members of the German Research Platform for Zoonoses (for further information please use the following link (to Membership page in german).

2) English-speaking scientists who conduct research abroad in the field of zoonoses, are interested in the work of the zoonoses platform existing in Germany and may possibly wish to cooperate with it, but who according to the statutes are not eligible to become a full member of the German Research Platform for Zoonoses. Such interested persons can apply for guest status. (for further information please use the following link (to membership page in german).
